International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG.L) – Reported a quarterly profit, swinging into the black from a seasonal loss for the first time, helped by lower fuel costs and an improvement in performance across its three airlines. Moneysupermarket.Com Group (MONY.L) – Remains confident of meeting its full year expectations as expected; Q2 growth is slowing from 25% performance of Q1. The group had a good start to year, with group revenues up 25%. Closing price 275.20p (Reuters)
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) – Set aside £856m to cover charges for past misconduct and litigation, the state-backed lender made a loss in Q1. The bank made an underlying operating profit of £1.63bn up 16% on the same period a year ago. It made an attributable loss of £446m, compared with a £1.2bn pound profit a year ago. Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA/B.L) – Reported a lower than expected 56%t drop in first quarter net income at $3.2 billion. Maintained a dividend of 47 cents per share. Profits from refining and trading rose to $2.65bn in the first quarter of 2015 from $1.575bn a year earlier, offsetting a sharp drop in oil and gas production earnings to $675m from $5.7bn. Tullow Oil (TLW.L) – Said it would incur a one-off $45m charge related to its cost-saving programme in light of weak oil prices but said the business was performing in line with expectations. Revenue and cost of sales were also in line with expectations and net debt stood at around $3.5bn on April 24. Closing price 423.90p (Reuters)
