Home Retail (HOME.L) – FY profit + 27% as its digital push at Argos and revamps at Homebase start to bear fruit. Pre-tax profit for the year rose to £115.4m (£112m expected)  on total sales up 3% to £5.7bn. Closing Price 206.00p (Bloomberg)

Ladbrokes (LAD.L) – Q1 group profit £18.4m down from £37.4m last year. Sees increasing competition in the run up to the world cup. Closing Price 143.40p (Bloomberg)

Next (NXT.L) – Q1 sales rose 10.8% (8.6% expected) raises full year guidance, FY sales rising to 9.5%, pretax profit £750-790m, raises share buyback limit to £64, says Q1 showed above average sales growth. Closing Price 6485.00p (Bloomberg)

Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA.L & RDSB.L) – Profit falls 3% to $7.3bn ($7.5bn last year) on lower oil and gas production of 3.25m boe/d. Closing Price 2280.00p & 2431.00p (Bloomberg)

Standard Life (SL.L) – Assets under administration rose 1.5% in the Q1 to £247.8bn, Driven by net inflows of £2.4bn. The UK's introduction of automatic enrolment of workers onto company pension schemes has helped boost business flows this year. Closing Price 384.80p (Reuters)
