Centamin (CEY.L), Fresnillo (FRES.L), Hochschild Mining (HOC.L), Randgold Resources (RRS.L) - The US dollar declined with Asian stocks as traders digested the tensions sparked by Donald Trump’s order halting some immigration, Bonds rose with gold advancing for a second day. Closing prices 151.10p, 1428.00p, 235.80p, 6580.00p (Bloomberg)

Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L) – UKFI said it has now reduced its stake in the lender by about 1%, to only a 4.998% holding. Closing Price 65.87p (Reuters)

Randgold Resources (RRS.L) – The CEO said that the company was on track to report that it had exceeded its production guidance of 670,000 ounces of gold for 2016, maintaining an annual production of plus 600,000 ounces for at least the next 10 years. This should be supported by the decision to proceed with the Gounkoto super pit project, once approved by the board. Closing Price 6580p (Reuters)

SolGold Plc (SOLG.L) -  The Ecuador-focused copper explorer who rejected a $305m proposal from BHP Billiton Ltd last year, is close to obtaining more ground in the country as it looks to broaden its reach beyond its flagship Cascabel project. The CEO, who owns 7.3% of the company, said he expects to announce the additional land holdings later this year. Closing price 29.75p (Bloomberg)

Tesco (TSCO.L), Booker Group PLC (BOK.L) - The UK's competition regulator, Competition and Markets Authority, came under pressure to intervene in Tesco's planned takeover of food and drink wholesaler, Booker, the Times reported. Closing prices 206.55p, 212.30p (Reuters)

WS Atkins (ATK.L) – Has been approached by U.S. company CH2M for a possible $4bn merger, the Times reported. Closing Price 1400p (Reuters)
