Tesco (TSCO.L) -  The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has already opened a probe into Tesco's accounts and said on Friday that scrutiny of sample audits in the coming year will focus in particular on the food, drinks and retail sector. Closing price 216.4p (Reuters)

Vodafone (VOD. L)  -  Some of the biggest investors in Vodafone say they are open to a European tie-up with Liberty Global, as the company is now in a stronger position to negotiate a deal with John Malone's cable group. Closing price 253.7p (Reuters)
