Anglo American (AAL) - The miner resumes dividend payments six months ahead of schedule as half year profits soar to $1.4bn and net debt is reduced to $6.2bn.
AstraZeneca (AZN) - H1 earnings per share at the Pharmaceutical giant increased by 58% as Revenues rose 9%, however its key lung cancer drug study 'Mystic' suffered a trial failure. The group has left full year guidance unchanged.
Lloyds (LLOY) - Despite impairment charges of over £1bn in Q1, the company announces statutory pretax profit increased 8% to £2.5bn, however that figure misses estimates of £2.9bn. The bank announces interim dividend of 1p, up 18% (ex-div 10 August).
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) - Reported that the bank has reached an agreement 'in principle' with the European Commission to approve measures that could see the UK government begin to offload its stake in the bailed out bank.
