Tesco (TSCO.L) - Showed a tentative recovery, its key home market was starting to move onto a stronger footing, with the sales decline in Q1 coming in ahead of forecasts. Sales -1.3% in Q1 compared with analysts' forecasts of -1.6% to -3%, and an improvement on the -1.7% in Q4. "Whilst the market is still challenging and volatility is likely to remain a feature of short-term performance, these Q1 results represent another step in the right direction," CEO Dave Lewis said.
