Tate & Lyle (TATE.L) - Said significant disruption to its supply chain and increased competition would hit annual profit. Closing Price 732.50p (Reuters)

Barclays (BARC.L) - Britain's financial watchdog will fine Barclays £38m for failing to ensure that customer money was properly safeguarded and adequate records kept, said a source familiar with the situation. Closing price 231.65p. (Reuters)

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) - A U.S. appeals court on Monday revived lawsuits against RBS's National Westminster Bank by about 200 victims of attacks in Israel attributed to Hamas who are seeking to hold the bank liable for handling transactions linked to the group. Closing price 359.6p. (Reuters)

Tesco (TSCO.L) Alan Stewart, will join the firm as chief financial officer from Tuesday, rather than the previously announced date of Dec. 1. Britain's biggest grocer fell over 10% yesterday. Closing Price 203.00p (Reuters)

BHP Billiton (BLT.L) Rio Tinto (RIO.L) Anglo American (AAL.L) Antofagasta (ANTO.L) Glencore Xstrata (GLEN.L) Flash Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 50.5 from a reading of 50.2 in August which beat analyst expectations. Closing price’s respectively 1730.00p, 3058.50p, 1426.50p, 734.50p, 341.90p  (Bloomberg)
