Movers & Shakers - 23 November 2017

The below stocks have been identified as having potential to register bigger than normal share price moves (up or down) today based on the news cited

Centrica (CNA) - The British Gas parent company has reaffirmed its commitment to its dividend, one of the largest on the UK 100 by yield, despite falling profits and customers in challenging market conditions. Its UK business will only be 'broadly break-even' in 2017.

CMC Markets (CMC) - The spread-better has announced a positive set of results, with HY revenue per client jumping by 22% to increase pretax profit by 58% YoY.

Fresnillo & Randgold Resources (FRES & RRS) - Gold miners outperformed in Australian trading as the US dollar retreated in reaction to the FOMC's November minutes. The dollar fell despite policymakers all but pointing to a December rate hike as concerns were voiced that low inflation may not just be transitory.

Severn Trent (SVT) - The utility provider has announced that HY turnover and underlying profit increased by 2.7% and 4.4%, respectively, while also announcing it will begin the sale of excess land, expected to raise up to £100m over the next five years.
