Babcock International (BAB) – Announced that Bill Tame, the CEO of global growth and operations, will retire from the group on June 30, ending a seven year tenure as group finance director.

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) - Said it could be a beneficiary of the new US tax rate by "mid to high single digit percentage points" from the tax bill passed by Congress. The measures outlined in the bill will result in a significant exceptional tax credit, which will be realised in cash from 2018.

IQE Group (IQE) – Has expanded its IP portfolio through the purchase and assignment of a portfolio of 54 patents from Taiwan, covering a range of novel technologies and applications.

McCarthy & Stone PLC (MCS), Persimmon (PSN) & Taylor Wimpey (TW.) - Selling new homes on a leasehold basis will be banned and new ground rents will be set to zero as of Thursday,  in a bid to end “feudal practices” in Britain’s construction industry. Sajid Javid said “It’s unacceptable for home buyers to be exploited through unnecessary leaseholds".
