Babcock (BAB.L) – Underlying first half pretax profit rose to £187m, up from £141.7m in the period a year ago. Raised its interim dividend by 10% to 5.5p and said its order book had increased sharply to £18.5bn. Closing Price 1118.00p (Reuters)

Centrica (CNA.L) – Said it expects full-year adjusted earnings per share to be lower than expected at 19-20 pence after mild weather hit energy demand and nuclear plants which it partly owns have been offline. Closing price 298.60p. (Reuters)

Mothercare (MTC.L) – H1 underlying profit before tax up 65% at £3.3m (£2m last year). International like-for-like sales up 4.9%, total international sales down 0.5%. Underlying UK losses lower at £13.5m  (£14.9m last year). Closing Price 173.25p (Reuters)

Rio Tinto (RIO.L), BHP Billiton (BLT.L) and Anglo American (AAL.L) – A Chinese factory gauge fell to a six-month low in November, adding to signs broader stimulus is needed to halt a slowdown in the world’s second-largest economy. Closing Prices 2942.00p, 1625.00p and 1323.00p respectively. (Reuters)
