BG Group (BG.L) -  Beat 2015 production targets. They also booked a $700m impairment charge in Q4 related to fields in the North Sea and Tunisia due to the fall in oil prices. Closing prices 939.90p (Reuters)

Anglo American (AAL.L) - Agrees 100% interest sale of Callide coal mine to Batchfire Resources. The transaction remains subject to several conditions precedent, and its terms are confidential. Closing price 238.80p (Reuters)

Genel Energy (GENL.L) – Stated that although they were well positioned to weather the downturn in oil prices cutting capital expenditure, they forecast 2016 revenue to be much lower than in 2015, citing the oil price weakness. Closing price 124.00p (Reuters)

BP (BP.L), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA.L), BG Group (BG.L), Tullow Oil (TLW.L) – Crude futures slumped again in Asian trade on Wednesday, with U.S. oil dropping more than 3% towards $27 a barrel and its lowest since 2003, on worries about global oversupply continuing. Closing prices 342.45p, 1369.50p, 939.90p, 128.00p (Reuters)

Fresnillo Plc (FRES.L) - Full year silver production, up 4.4% versus 2014. Closing price 664.50p (Reuters)

WH Smith Plc (SMWH.L) - Expects full-year profit "slightly ahead" of expectations after a strong sales performance at its High Street business over the Christmas period. Like-for-like sales were up 2% in the 20 weeks to Jan. 16, with total sales rising 4% and outlet sales up 12%. Closing price 1588.00p (Reuters)
