Carpetright (CPR) - The carpet seller has lowered its year-end guidance after a significant deterioration in its UK business over the important period after Christmas. Sales fell 2.3% over the Christmas period, accelerating to 7.1% after the 25th Dec, leading to a significant reduction in FY expectations.
Dignity (DTG) - The funeral service provider expects FY17 results in-line, but provides a FY18 profits warning due to continued acceleration of price competition in the industry. The company notes customers are increasingly price-conscious, while the industry has become over-supplied.
eSure (ESUR) - The insurer's CEO Stuart Vann is stepping down with immediate effect, claiming the company's long-term strategy is best achieved through new leadership. Darren Ogden, CFO, to become interim CEO. FY gross written premiums +25%, while pre-tax profit +30%. The company started 2018 positively, with trading in line.
