Estimates that service provision contract and output based services will be worth £2bn over ten years. BP (BP..L) Royal Dutch Shell (RDSB.L) Tullow Oil (TLW.L) BG Group (BG..L) & Petrofac (PFC.L) – Oil in New York traded near a five-year low as Russia reiterated that it will keep crude production steady next year. Also OPEC has no plans to intervene in the oil market to shore up sagging crude prices, the Kuwaiti oil minister says, as Brent crude breaches the $US60 mark. BT (BT.A.L) – BT's plan to buy UK mobile operator EE for £12.5bn should be completed by end-2015 or early 2016, said a senior executive of French group Orange which owns half of the business. Closing Price 405.40p (Reuters)
Dixons Carphone (DC..L) – Posted a 30% rise in first half profit on the back of market share gains and said it was on track to make expectations for the full year. Made a pro forma pretax profit of £78m in the 31 weeks to Nov. 1. Also posted a 5% rise in sales at stores open over a year. However, it made a statutory loss before tax from its continuing operations of £20m after booking exceptional charges of £100m. Closing Price 426.70p (Reuters)
TUI Travel (TT..L) – The merger of Britain's TUI Travel and Germany's TUI AG completed on Wednesday, bringing to a conclusion a deal to create the world's largest leisure and tourism company which will be known as TUI Group. London-listed TUI Travel and TUI AG, the British company's biggest shareholder, reached an agreement in September on the terms of a €6.5bn merger. Closing price 437.00p (Reuters)
