Royal Mail (RMG.L) – Reported H1 adj operating profit before transformation costs fall 6%, £320m against £342m one year ago. Revenue came in at £4.58bn beating estimates of £4.55bn. Closing price 498.90p (Bloomberg)

Majestic Wine MJW.L - Has reported a 10.6% underlying sales growth for the six months to 26 September. It said an adjusted pre-tax profit of £0.1m “reflects a solid ‘business as usual’ performance” offset by investments. Closing price 301.75p (Bloomberg)

Premier Oil (PMO.L) – Now sees 2016 exploration and development capital expenditure at less than previous guidance of $730m now sees 2017 capex 60% lower at $300m. Closing price 54.50p (Bloomberg)

Anglo American (AAL.L) - Said it was suspending all operations at its Los Bronces copper mine in Chile after protesters seized installations at the mine earlier in the day. Closing price 1094.00p (Reuters)

Virgin Money Holdings UK PLC (VM.L) - Funds managed by WL Ross & Co have launched an accelerated bookbuild to sell up to 27m ordinary shares in Virgin Money Holdings. Closing price 338.50p (Reuters)

Johnson Matthey (JMAT.L) - Has reported 5%  increase in sales and pre-tax profits for H1. Closing Price 3330.00p (Reuters)

Great Portland Estates (GPOR.L) - Sells freehold of 73/89 Oxford Street, London, to Norges Bank Real Estate Management for £276.5m initial yield to buyer 3.2%. Closing price 627.50p (Bloomberg)

Rio Tinto (RIO.L) -  Fired two of its top executives over a payment connected to a giant iron ore project in Guinea in West Africa. It has terminated the contract of Alan Davies and Debra Valentine. Davies was suspended Nov. 9 over the $10.5m payment to consultant Francois de Combret in 2011 for assisting negotiations with Guinea’s President Alpha Conde . Closing price 2693.00  (Reuters)
