The company said it had strong sales in the first 15 weeks of the year, resulting in a 7% rise in total forward sales revenue to £2bn stg. Closing price 1760.00p (Reuters)

Diageo (DGE.L) - Reported slower quarterly trading, hurt by tough comparisons in Britain and retailers reducing inventory in Southeast Asia. Sales fell 0.2 percent in the six months to the end of December. Closing Price 1967.00p (Reuters)

Unilever (ULVR.L) - Reported better than expected sales for Q1 on Thursday. Underlying sales up 2.8% in the quarter. Analysts were expecting a gain of 2.1% average. Closing price 2934.00p (Reuters)
