Galliford Try (GFRD) - The housebuilder is aiming to raise £150m after booking a £90m loss on the collapse of Carillion. Despite this, the company brought forward plans to increase its dividend (to two times pre-exceptional earnings, although note down to 28p from 32p a year ago), while revenue guidance remains unchanged.
GKN (GKN) - The company has increased its defence against a hostile takeover from Melrose, sharing details of a new strategy and transformation plan along with aim of returning £2.5bn to shareholders over 3 years through divestments, while raising average dividend payout to 50% of free cash flow.
Serco (SRP) - The company will now pay just £30m for a package of Carillion's health contracts, down from the £48m proposed before Carillion's liquidation.
Shire (SHP) - The pharmaceutical giant will report full year results at midday (12pm) today.
Sky (SKY) - Sky has secured the rights to four of the available seven Premier League packages available to broadcasters, with its average cost per game falling 16% to £9.3m from £11.05m in its previous bid.
