Barclays PLC (BARC.L), Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LLOY.L), Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) - Two BoE officials, including Deputy Governor for Monetary policy Ben Broadbent, are not ready to raise interest rates just yet, substantially lessening the chances that borrowing costs will rise soon. Broadbent said the mood among businesses was central to his analysis and that it was "very difficult" for the bank's MPC to judge whether there had been a significant improvement. Barratt Developments PLC (BDEV.L) – Posted a better-than-expected 12% rise in 2016/17 profit of £765m as selling prices rose but only built 76 more homes than last year, despite the country’s requirement to deliver 200,000 new properties to the market each year . Closing price 584.50p (Reuters)

Burberry Group PLC (BRBY.L) – Posted retail revenue of £478m, a 3% underlying revenue growth in Q1 led by new CEO Marco Gobbetti, helped by stronger demand in mainland China and a continuing good performance in its home British market. Closing price 1580.00p (Reuters)

Tesco PLC (TSCO.L), Booker Group PLC (BOK.L) – Competition regulator CMA has said concerns were raised regarding Tesco's proposed £3.7bn takeover of wholesaler Booker and customers terms could be affected, ceding to a request from the companies to "fast track" the process. Closing price 171.05p, 189.50p (Reuters / Sigma Squawk)
