Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L), Lloyds (LLOY.L) - Following the Conservative win in the general election, Britain may begin selling part of the state's holding in Royal Bank of Scotland at a loss later this year. The government wants to accelerate the disposal of its shares in RBS and Lloyds Banking Group. It has already sold nearly half of its 41% stake in Lloyds but has yet to start selling its 80% stake in RBS. Closing prices 352.40p, 86.85p (Reuters)
Cairn Energy (CNE.L) - The oil explorer said its oilfields offshore Senegal could hold more than a billion barrels of oil and the company and its partners plan to drill up to six new wells over three years. Closing Price 187.40p (Reuters)
Mining Stocks - China cut interest rates for the third time in six months on Sunday, and analysts predicted policymakers would relax reserve requirements and cut rates again in the coming months. (Reuters)
