Ashtead (AHT) - Said it was on track to achieve its full-year expectations and was confident about the medium-term outlook, it posted a strong start to its new financial year. Rental revenue of £539.6m for its H1 ended July 31, up 20% from last year's £417.7m. Closing price 917.00p (Reuters)

HSBC (HSBA) - Argentina's central bank on Tuesday ordered HSBC Argentina to name a new president and vice president within 24 hours, accusing the bank of failing to establish necessary controls to prevent tax evasion and money laundering. Closing price 499.00p (Reuters)
