The UK 100 is called to open -36 points this morning at 7263. The UK 100 looks set to make a weak start on Tuesday with investors in a subdued mood looking ahead to the US mid-term elections where the Republicans are expected to make gains. However, this didn’t stop US markets rising with Dow Jones up 426 points, or 1.31%, at 32,829, the S&P up 37 points, or 0.97%, to 3,807 and the Nasdaq up 89 points, or 0.85%, to 10,565.
AVEVA Group report a H1 pretax loss from continuing operations of £89.1m as operating expenses widen.
Coca-Cola HBC have raised their FY profit forecast, as increasing prices hasn't had an adverse effect on demand so far. They expect a comparable operating profit for 2022 to be between 860-900m euros, up from an earlier forecast of 740-820m euros.
DCC reports a H1 FY22 adjusted operating profit of £221.2m, up 13% from £195.8m YoY. They have declared an interim dividend of 60.04p, up 7.5% from 55.85p YoY. They report net debt of £782.3m, up from £54.1m a year ago.
Hammerson expects their FY22 adjusted earnings to be more than £100m as UK and Ireland footfall continues to improve to 90% of 2019 levels. They remain in talks with interested parties on further £300m of non-core disposals.
