Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +3 points today at 7306.  A moderately higher open is expected this morning for the UK 100, on the back of another positive session on Wall Street on Friday. The picture was more mixed in Asia this morning as stocks were mostly lower as China’s exports rose 27.1% in October compared with a year ago.  That was higher than the 24.5% growth forecast in a Reuters poll.  In Japan, the Nikkei slipped 0.35% and South Korea’s Kospi dipped 0.31%.  China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.17% while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined by 0.66%.

BHP are to sell 80% of its stake in Mitsui Coal JV to Stanmore SMC for $1.35bn.
 
Card Factory reports that online is trading in line with expectations.
Playtech has received takeover approaches from Aristocrat & Gopher Investments.
 
Sirius Real Estate agrees to buy Helix Investments in a deal worth £380m. They reported a H1 pretax profit of 78.2m euros, +26% YoY as they increased their dividend by +12% to 2.04 euros as trading is in line with FY expectations.
