The UK 100 called to open +32 points at 7639. The UK 100 looks set to open the week on the front foot, this follows a strong showing for global markets on Friday and into Asia this morning. Sentiment seems to have changed after the US debt celling agreement passed through the senate late last week, calming concerns of a US default, and news over the weekend that Saudi Arabia will reduce how much oil it sends to the global economy, taking a unilateral step to bolster the sagging oil price. US markets soared on Friday with the Dow Jones climbing over 700 points while the S&P and Nasdaq also advanced strongly, while Asian markets climbed on Monday. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 index was up 1.9%. In China, the Shanghai Composite was down 0.1%, while the Hang Seng index in Hong Kong was up 0.2%.
