The UK 100 is called to open -4 points at 7555. The UK 100 looks set to slip marginally lower ahed of the open today, ahead of services industry data out today. It was a strong showing on Wall Street yesterday, led higher by growth and tech stocks of the Nasdaq, which jumped 1.9%, ahead of the S&P 500 at 0.8% and Dow Jones at 0.3%. Asian stocks rose to their highest in more than a month on Tuesday,
AstraZeneca have announced positive results for its Etesian phase IIb trial, which met its primary and secondary endpoints.
Crest Nicholson intends to sign a Building Safety Pledge, as they state they will need to record a further exceptional charge in their financial statements. They do not consider this a risk to current or future operations as they reported net cash to be at £252.8m back in Oct-end.
Homeserve states they have made good progress in FY22 as performance accelerates v FY21. They expect their Home Experts division to be profitable for the first time on a FY basis.
Moonpig lifts their FY revenue expectations to £300m on strong trading, as they reiterate their medium-term adjusted EBITDA margin target of 24-25%.
