The UK 100 is called to open +52 points this morning at 6960. A positive open is expected this morning following strong gains in the US on Monday. Markets may take some comfort from the news that the chancellor plans to bring forward publication of fiscal forecasts which will show how his plans will be funded. On Wall Street at the close the Dow Jones was up 765 points at 29,490, the S&P soared 93 points to 3,678 while the Nasdaq advanced 240 points to 10,815.

Greggs expects their FY outcome to be in line with previous expectations as total sales in the 13 weeks to October 1st were +15% YoY. They have 90 net new shops opened YTD and they expect 150 net shop openings in 2022.
Legal & General state that their annuity portfolio has continued to perform well as they expect to meet FY22 expectation of £1.8bn capital generation. They are on track to deliver good growth in key financial metrics for FY22.
Ryanair report that their September guests were +49% YoY to £15.9m v 10.6m last year.
Wizz Air report that their September passenger numbers were +52% YoY to £4.5m v £3m previously.
