Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +43 points this morning at 7230. The UK Bluechip index is set to open higher on Friday, after the Bank of England's rate hike was accompanied by dovish rhetoric on Thursday, despite the central bank warning of a prolonged UK recession. UK Governor Bailey said UK interest rates will have to go up by "less than currently priced into financial markets". All eyes will be on the US Non-Farm payroll data at 12:30pm. The US closed lower with the Dow -0.5%, S&P -1.1 & Nasdaq -1.7%. In Asia the Nikkei closed -1.7%, Shanghai +2.5% & Hang Seng +6.2%.
