Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -12 points at 7812.  The UK 100 looks set to open slightly lower today as US tech results disappointed which saw shares in Amazon lose 5.1% after hours in New York, while Alphabet gave back 4.6% and Apple fell by 3.2%.
