Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +35 points this morning at 5919.  Calls for a positive open come as investors showed signs of positive sentiment of fresh hopes of a global economic recovery.  Asian markets rose overnight after Chinese manufacturing data was stronger than first thought.  However concerns over a second wave of the virus and also worries of a second lockdown being brought in may sway sentiment this morning.  Also out this morning was European manufacturing data which also showed signs that global economies were starting to recover.  On Friday The Dow Jones closed out the week by rising 114.67 points, or 0.4%, to 26,428.32 after dropping about 300 points at its low of the day. The S&P 500 climbed 0.7%, or 24.90 points, to 3,271.12, while the Nasdaq gained 1.4%, or 157.46 points, to 10,745.27, led by a 10% jump in Apple shares.
