Company News:

DS Smith H1 2022 performance to date remains in line with expectations.
Evraz reports that their Q3 steel output rose 1% q/q.
Lloyds posted better than expected profits for Q3 of £1.6bn compared with average analyst estimates of £1.3bn. The results were boosted by the release of £84m in money it has set aside for bad loans. Given its strong performance and an improved outlook for the economy, they also improved their guidance for this year.

Royal Dutch Shell's Q3 adjusted earnings fell 25% to $4.13bn from Q2, below average analyst forecasts provided by the company for a $5.31bn profit.

Travis Perkins have raised their profit forecast for the 3rd time in 5 months, buoyed by pent-up demand and said it was navigating supply chain and cost inflation challenges "very capably". They now expect at least £340m in adjusted operating profit for the year up from at least £310m forecast in August.
