Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open +20 points at 7,488. UK 100 is set to open higher on Wednesday after a strong finish for equities in the US on Tuesday on the back of surprisingly resilient US economic data. Dow closed +0.6%, S&P +1.2% and Nasdaq +1.7%. In Asia the Nikkei closed +1.8%, Shanghai -0.1% and Hang Seng -0.2%.

Boohoo outlines “serious concerns” regarding conduct of Revolution Beauty’s board, (the company Boohoo part owns) as they are committed to wholesale board changes.

 

Mulberry report that their FY pretax profit has fallen to £13.2m from £21.3m YoY as they recommend a final dividend of 1p per share for FY23 vs 3p in FY22. They are confident in their strategy, as they continue to invest and plan for further store openings.
