Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +10 points today at 7135.  A marginally higher open is expected this morning as traders await news from the Jackson Hole symposium,  US markets had a lacklustre day yesterday with the Dow Jones sliding 192 points to 35,213 and the S&P 500 shedding 26 points to close at 4,470.  In Asia this morning the picture was mixed, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng added 12 points to trade at 25,426, while in Japan, the Nikkei gave up 131 points to sit at 27,612.
