Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +30 points at 7355; In focus today will be the U.K. Supreme Court rules on whether Boris Johnson acted lawfully when he suspended Parliament. It's unclear how definitive the ruling will be. Positive sentiment comes as it was confirmed overnight that US-China trade talks will resume in 2 weeks time when China’s Liu He visits Washington. Elsewhere the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo releases a statement thanking Germany, France and Britain after the three nations released a statement saying Iran “bears responsibility” for the recent Saudi oil attacks (watch oil prices today!) Stateside stocks closed little changed Monday as weak economic data out of Europe stoked worries over the state of the global economy. The Dow Jones gained just 14.92 points, or 0.1% to 26,949.99. Overnight oil prices steadied at just shy of $65 a barrel, whilst gold continued to march on amid geopolitical unsettle to break back above $1520.
