UK Index called to open +20 points at 7170; After this weekends meeting of parliament, the first Saturday sitting for 37 years, Boris Johnson was 16 votes short of passing his Brexit deal. This means we now have a very real possibility of a hard Brexit, however the PM is confident he has the numbers to get his deal through, will propose another vote through Parliament, House Speaker John Bercow may reject this on grounds it's already been considered. During Asian sessions we saw stocks edge higher on fresh hopes of a trade negotiations making headway, the Nikkei closing +65 points and the Hang Seng +72 points. Crude slipped back below the key $60 handle to sit at $59.5 per barrel, whilst gold opens where it closed on Friday $1490. Pound sensitive stocks will be in focus today following the drop in sterling over the weekend (Banks, Airliners, Housebuilders)

AstraZeneca announces its drug Farxiga is approved in the US to reduce the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure in patients with type-2 diabetes.
Funding Circle Q3 2019 update that loans under management +31% with projected annualised returns for 2019 continuing to show an improvement. Guidance for 2019 is unchanged; performance on track to meet market expectations.
Just Eat Q3 2019 update with group revenue of £247.5m and revenue growth +25%. Group orders +16% to 62m, with UK orders +8% to 33m. The board remains confident in the current performance of the group and reaffirms its guidance for FY 2019 to be in the range of £1bn - £1.1bn.
Micro Focus announces that they are not considering any acquisition offers from Open Text Corporation for the purchase of their company.
NMC Health retirates 2019 guidance and expects double-digit growth to continue in 2020.
Petropavlovsk production results for Q3 2019 with Gold sales +53% with an average price of $1,388 oz (2018: $1,228 oz). The company remains on track to meet its full-year sales targets.
