Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open -96 points points at 5717.  Calls for a negative open come after oil futures entered negative territory for the first time in history yesterday, WTI prices dipped at much as 305% to $-40 a barrel, this sent the Dow Jones tumbling as oil heavyweights felt the pressure of this on share prices.  However, in more positive news, some Covid-19 hotspots have showed signs of plateauing.  It was a tough session overnight in Asia, seeing the Nikkei falling 2% to close 388 points lower at 19,280.  Whilst the Hang Seng also dropped nearly 2%, giving up 440 points to close at 23,890.  In China the fall was not as severe, however the CSI 300 did fall 1.12% to trade 42 points lower at 3,810.
