Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +37 points points at 5823.   A positive opening call for the week as investors add more credence to hopes over drug trials due for this week for the coronavirus, this positive sentiment comes inspite of crude oil sagging to the lowest since 1999 after China's first-quarter contraction clouded the demand outlook. The drop was exacerbated by tomorrow's expiration of the May dated oil contracts. Meanwhile, New York appeared to be "on the other side" of the outbreak, and Spain, France and the U.K. reported the fewest fatalities in weeks.  In Asia it was a mixed session, seeing the Nikkei falling 1.15% to trade at 19,669, the Hang Seng closing flat to trade at 24,352 and the Chinese CSI also closing flat to trade at 3,846.
