Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +16 points this morning at 6960. The UK bluechip index is set to open higher on Wednesday as the UK CPI inflation figure came in slightly higher than expected at 10.1% YoY (10% expected). Overnight the Dow closed +1.1%, S&P +1.1% and Nasdaq +0.9%. In Asia stocks were mixed as Shanghai closed -1%, Hang Seng -1.7% and the Nikkei +0.6%.

Company News:

Antofagasta expects their copper production to be between 670,000-710,000 tonnes in 2023 with the completion of its Los Pelambres desalination and concentrator plants in Chile. They produced 181,900 tonnes of copper in Q3, 40.1% higher than the previous quarter, as production nearly doubled at Los Pelambres due to improved water availability.
ASOS reported an 89% drop in 2021-22 profit and forecast a H1 loss in its new financial year, blaming significant volatility in the macroeconomic environment. They made an adjusted profit before tax of £22m, in line with guidance that was lowered last month.
Man Group report that their assets under management on Sep 30th are $138.4bn, down from $142.3bn on June 30th.
