UK 100 called to open up 18pts at 6700, targeting a third consecutive day of gains.

The UK 100 Index gained 28pts yesterday as 68 members of the UK 100 Index closed the session higher.

Petrofac (PFC.L) rose the highest yesterday, advancing 3.16% as influential broker Goldman Sachs issued a 'Buy' recommendation with a target price of 1310p.

Tui Travel (TT..L) shares finished up 2.16%. The owner of Europe’s largest tour operator posted an 89% surge in third-quarter operating profit after raising prices and attracting more hotel guests.

British Land (BLND.L) and Land Securities Group (LAND) each added more than 2% after Bank of America Merrill Lynch recommended buying their shares.

Admiral Group (ADM.L) was the hardest hit once again as the market digested Wednesday's disappointing trading update. Shares were down 2.99%.

G4S (GFS.L) shares closed lower by 2.52% on profit taking having rallied some 5.5% the day previous.

In U.S. trading the Dow Jones closed above 16,700pts for the first time in two weeks after adding 62pts last night to close at 16,713. The S&P 500 and NASDAQ advanced some 0.5%.

Asian markets registered gains across the board with shares in Hong Kong grabbing the headlines as the Hang Seng Index topped 25,000pts for the first time in six years.

In FX the Yen lost 0.1% to 102.53 against the Dollar having fallen 0.5% this week and was 137.06 against the Euro as demand for the safe haven wanes.

Commodities: Gold rose to $1,313.52 and is on course to finish up for the second consecutive week as investors are weighting up the global economic outlook and geopolitical. Copper rebounded from an eight week low rising 0.40% to $6,850.75 as speculation continues that central banks with continue stimulus. Brent gained 68 cents to $102.75 and WTI added 7 cents to $95.65 heading for its forth weekly drop the longest losing streak since November amid rising supplies and slowing demand.
