Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +85 points this morning at 6935.  The UK bluechip index is set to open higher on Friday, taking confidence from buying in Asia & New York, where stocks surged despite worse-than-expected US inflation on Thursday. News that the UK Chancellor Kwarteng has cancelled planned meetings in the US and left a day early for "crunch talks in the UK" over the mini budget has boosted optimism in the financial markets. Overnight the Nikkei closed +3.3%, Shanghai +2.1% and Hang Seng +3.7%.
