The UK 100 is called to open -78 points this morning at 7125. UK stocks are seen opening lower on Monday amid growing concerns about a fresh spike of COVID-19 cases in China over the weekend that another lockdown for the country could be on the horizon with their zero-COVID strategy. Friday's US session was mixed with the Dow closing -0.2%, S&P -0.1% and Nasdaq +0.1%. Overnight in Asia the Nikkei +1.2%, Shanghai -1.8% and the Hang Seng -3.1%.
