Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +45 points at 7491; The death toll from the coronavirus climbed above 1,000, as the Chinese province at the epicenter of the outbreak reported its highest number of fatalities. China’s Hubei province, which added 103 more deaths, has removed two health officials from their posts.  This lead to a mixed trading session in Asia, seeing the Nikkei falling 142 points to 23,685, whilst it was a very different story on the Hang Seng, the Hong Kong index adding 371 points to close out +1.36% at 27,610.  In the U.S yesterday we saw a green close across the board, the Dow Jones lead to way forward, closing +174 points at 29,276 (creeping back towards all time highs).  The S&P 500 closed at 3,352, a gain of 24 points and the Nasdaq completed the green sweep gaining 107 points, closing at 9,628.  Oil bounced back from a one-year low in New York but the emergence of a glut since the coronavirus outbreak loomed over the market as traders looked to store excess crude on tankers, crude trades at $54.4 at time of writing.  Gold continued to hold firm trading at $1568.
