Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open flat at 7629.  The UK 100 looks set for a muted open this morning, after a mixed session for Asian markets this morning as Chinese export data contracted 7.5% compared with the same period last year, falling for the first time since February.  The Nikkei 225 index in Tokyo was down 1.5%. In China, the Shanghai Composite was up 0.2%, while the Hang Seng index in Hong Kong was up 1.1%.  It was also a mixed session on Wall Street yesterday, the Dow Jones closed flat at 33,573.28. The S&P rose 10.06 points, to settle at 4,283.85 and the Nasdaq was up 46.99 points, to end the day at 13,276.42.
