Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -9 points at 7590.  The UK 100 looks set to open a lower on Tuesday after US markets gave back some of Friday’s strong gains.  The Dow Jones fell 199.90 points, or 0.6%, to close at 33,562.86. The S&P 500 slipped 8.58 points, or 0.2%, to trade at 4,273.79 and the Nasdaq dipped 11.34 points, or 0.1%, settling at 13,229.43.  In Australia overnight, the Reserve Bank unexpectedly raised interest rates by 25 basis points, this follows a surprise hike in May.

British American Tobacco says they are on track to meet FY guidance as they maintained their FY revenue growth outlook, betting on steady demand for its vaping, oral nicotine products and higher prices. They expect a 3-5% rise in organic revenue at constant currency rates for 2023, with performance anticipated to be weighted towards the second half of the year.
