Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open +22 points at 8026.  The UK 100 looks set to open higher back above 8,000 on what could be a quiet day with little in the way of company and economic news expected and with US markets closed for President’s Day.  US markets ended mixed on Friday with the Dow Jones up 130 points or 0.4%, to close at 33,827, the Nasdaq was down 66 points or 0.6%, to end the day at 11,787 while the S&P 500 shed 11 points or 0.3%, to close at 4,079.

Darktrace appoints Ernst & Young for a third-party review of its finances. They do not expect an update on the review by its H1 results release on March 8TH.

 

 

Hill & Smith acquires Enduro Composites for $35m.

 

 

Santander is among a number of parties interested in a private equity unit of ABRDN, which could be valued at £250m.

 

 

Tesco are set to review options for the future of Tesco Bank, which could include a sale of the business.
