Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open -15 points this morning at 6944. The UK 100 is expected to open lower this morning following mixed session stateside yesterday which saw the Dow Jones down 94 points, or 0.32%, at 29,203, the S&P fell 27 points, or 0.75%, to 3,612 and the Nasdaq dropped 110 points, or 1.04%, to 10,542 to close at a two year low.  In focus today will be UK unemployment and average earnings figures.

Ferrexpo says no members of their workforce were injured by Russian missile strikes yesterday.
Marston's have reported that their annual total retail sales came in higher than 2019 numbers, as people continued to splurge on drinks and food despite the rapid cost-of-living crisis. Total retail sales for 2021 were 2% higher from 2019, with sales of drinks outperforming food.
PureTech Health agrees with Nektar to terminate possible business combination talks.
 
Reach says their CFO Simon Fuller will step down on Dec 31st and will be replaced by ITV's finance director Darren Fisher.
