Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open -26 points this morning at 7250.  The UK 100 looks set to start the week slightly lower this morning, ahead of a busy week of corporate earnings in the UK.   The drop for the UK's bluechip index follows on from Fridays tough session on Wall Street, which saw the Dow Jones lose 137.61 points, or 0.43%, to 31,899.29. The S&P declined 0.93% to 3,961.63, while the Nasdaq Composite traded 1.87% lower to 11,834.11.  However, those losses merely cut into weekly gains for all three major averages, with the Dow closed out the week nearly 2% higher. The S&P advanced about 2.6%, and the Nasdaq ended the week up 3.3%.
