Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open -76 points this morning at 7250. The UK 100 looks set to be hit by a hangover from last Friday’s worse-than-expected US inflation print, as traders have been left considering the US Federal Reserve may lift interest rates more sharply than originally expected to combat the threat of rising prices.  This follows the mass sell off on Friday, on Wall Street, The Dow Jones shed 880 points, or 2.73%, to close at 31,392.79. The S&P fell 2.91% to settle at 3,900.86. The Nasdaq Composite sank 3.52% to 11,340.02.
