The UK 100 is called to open -10 points today at 7361. The UK's blue chip index is expected to open marginally lower on the last trading day before Christmas, seemingly continuing not to allow Omicron to dampen sentiment. Wall Street rose again overnight after more strong US macro data. The S&P 500 rose by 0.62%, while the Nasdaq jumped by 0.82%, with the Dow Jones moving 0.52% higher. As to be expected in Asia this morning, markets are broadly unchanged, the Nikkei 225 is barely changed in Tokyo while in Hong Kong the Hang Seng is up 30 points at 23,224.
