The UK 100 is called to open +25 today at 7049. The UK bluchip index looks set to bounce this morning following a call between US President Joe Biden and China's President Xi to ease some of the tensions between the countries. Stateside yesterday saw The Dow Jones lose 151.69 points to close at 34,879.38. The S&P fell 0.46% to close at 4,493.28, dropping for the fourth straight day. The technology-heavy Nasdaq dropped 0.25% to 15,248.25. Asian markets were broadly higher this morning despite the lacklustre session on Wall Street, Tokyo’s Nikkei gained 1.2% while the Hang Seng in Hong Kong jumped 1.5% and the Shanghai Composite advanced 0.1%.
