UK 100 is called to open +20 points this morning at 7038. Calls for a positive open his morning come on the back of a mixed to positive session in Asia overnight, The Shanghai Composite in China gained 0.18% but Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index slipped 0.24% In Japan, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.25%. On Friday, the Dow Jones and the S&P in the US posted their fourth and second consecutive negative week of losses last week respectively.
Cineworld reported a strong opening weekend in the UK with more than expected attendance. Over 97% of cinemas are now open in the US. Poland and Israel will be opening cinemas by the weekend. Company has received full $230m tax refund under US cares act. Expect next week's results to be strong with release of Cruella and A Quiet Place 2.
Hilton Food Group says trading in line with Board's expectations for year to date. Strong momentum since the start of the year in several markets.
