Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +37 points this morning at 6568. Calls for a positive open in the UK today come as it is reported that investors are beginning to view UK shares as undervalued post-Brexit.  This comes in-spite of a mixed session on Wall Street yesterday, which saw the Dow Jones closing down 0.03% at 31,375 while the S&P 500 ended 0.11% lower a 3,911. The Nasdaq once again out performed the other major benchmarks, closing up 0.14% at 14,007 and notching up another record close in the process.  Investor optimism showed signs of returning in Asia this morning ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 up 0.07% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rising by 1.68%.
