Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +52 points this morning at 6452.  A welcome call for a positive open today following a tough week for global markets last week that saw 200 plus points taken from the UK blue chip index.  Markets have been driven higher as Reddit traders look to target the silver market.   Silver futures rose 6pc overnight as members of the WallStreetBets forum suggested people buy exchange-traded funds linked to the metal because prices have been kept artificially low.  Overnight in Asia shares rallied on Monday, the Nikkei in Japan climbed 1.4% after four straight sessions of losses. adding 1.2%, after shedding almost 2pc on Friday, while Chinese blue chips gained 0.5% as the country's central bank injected more cash into money markets.
